Whether it’s generic or formulated amines, hybrid or physical solvents, we can help you select the most beneficial option through comprehensive net present cost analyses, including consideration for optimization measures such as integration of the gas sweetening unit with the downstream sulphur recovery facilities.
While many sulphur recovery facilities appear to be the same, key differences exist that create unique, often critical design concerns for the plant. We can help you determine the most practical and effective means of tackling various challenges such as lean acid gas processing, contaminant destruction and revamps to address requirements for increasing capacity or recovery efficiency in existing facilities.
The goal of sulphur plant tail gas treating is to comply with SO2 emission regulations, while also minimizing net present cost. Of the various technology possibilities such as sub-dewpoint Claus, tail gas direct-oxidation or amine-based tail gas treating for absorption of H2S or SO2, we can help you select and implement the most cost effective option that will allow operation safely inside permit limits.
Due to its toxic and explosive nature, removal of H2S from Claus-produced sulphur is essential to accommodate safe handling in downstream facilities. We have experience with all types of sulphur degassing processes and technologies including in-pit, external and elevated pressure systems, and can help you determine the right choice for you, based on process performance, off-gas disposal requirements, plot constraints and cost.
While elemental sulphur is a byproduct of oil and gas processing, it is also the primary raw feedstock for the production of sulphuric acid, one of the world’s most important chemicals.
